Help with Pourwise

Pourwise runs entirely on your iPhone and talks to your scale over Bluetooth — most issues come down to pairing. Start here.

How do I connect my scale?

Turn your scale on, then in Pourwise open the brew screen and tap Connect Scale. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in iOS Settings and the scale is within a few feet of your phone. Select it from the list once it appears.

Which scales are supported?

Pourwise currently supports the BOOKOO Themis. Support for additional scales is planned — let us know which one you'd like to see next.

My scale keeps disconnecting mid-brew

Keep your phone within Bluetooth range of the scale, and make sure no other app or device is already connected to it. If it still drops, power-cycle the scale and reconnect from the brew screen.

Where is my brew data stored?

On your device only. Recipes and brew history are saved locally — there's no account and no server, so nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Does Pourwise work without an internet connection?

Yes. Pourwise only needs Bluetooth to talk to your scale — it works the same with Wi-Fi and cellular both off.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, since all of it lives on your device and nowhere else.

I found a bug — how do I report it?

Email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version (Settings → About in the app), your scale model, and the steps that trigger it.
